My Favorite Halloween Wine

That’s right… Halloween wine!

We all have guilty pleasures, those things we like that we don’t really want people to know we like. Examples could be a 45 year old truck driver that secretly listens to Ashlee Simpson CDs while on the road, or a vegetarian that goes to the next town to buy bacon once a year. It doesn’t have to be sinful, just something we’d rather not have people know we enjoy.

I have several guilty pleasures. I’m not going to list them all here, as then you’d know them, and I’d probably be embarrassed by some of them! However, one that I will mention is that I love vampire movies!

I have no idea why vampire movies appeal to me. Some are actually good, some are just bad, some are wonderfully cheesy, but I love them all. Well, maybe some of those 70’s vampire movies weren’t so great, but they’re still fun.

So what does this have to do with wine? Simple… Vampire Vineyards!

Vampire Wines
A combination of two of my favorite things, wine and vampires!

The wines are inexpensive but actually quite good. I haven’t gotten my hands on the Syrah, which I’m anxious to try, but I currently, thanks to my wife’s shopping yesterday, have in my possession a Merlot, a Pinot Noir and a Cabernet Sauvignon! Some of the wines actually come from Transylvania; the versions I have are from Paso Robles, CA, and the Pinot is from France.

No, my house isn’t decorated with vampire accessories, but I do now have my own vampire Beanie Baby.

If you live in a state that allows it, Vampire Wines can be ordered online and delivered in time for Halloween.  They even sell energy drinks on their site, in conjunction with the Underworld movies… which happen to be some of the best vampire movies ever made!

i’ve always had a thang for vampires too…

We were given some of that wine from our Romanian friend. Can’t get it out of the box to try it though!

Loulou, I looked at the site… I think you need to use a pry bar, like opening Dracula’s coffin! :)
