Great Grape Day IX

For this edition of Great Grape Day we are delving into the delights of the those two obscure Rhone varieties Roussanne and Marsanne. The two are - and this is a generality - blended together in the Rhone but from the New World they can appear as single varieties. What will the Wine Sediments team discover?

The intention is not to provide comprehensive coverage of all things Grenache, but rather for our writers to provide interesting snippets under a unified theme.

As with our last Great Grape Day you won’t find details of planted acreages, the minute of differing clones and rootstocks or the fermentation temperatures - but rather a collection of interesting and diverse posts that offer a snapshot of our writers thoughts on the wonders that are wines based on the wonders of Roussanne and Marsanne.

The team hopes you enjoy our special day. As always feedback is welcome.
